About your massage therapists:
Melissa
Born and raised in Montgomery, Alabama. Melissa graduated from Montgomery School of Bodywork and Massage in 2007, with a concentrated study in therapeutic and orthopedic massage. She is state-licensed and board certified with 15 years of experience. Melissa moved to Elk Rapids in 2007 after graduating and began her practice. Throughout the years she found herself drawn to trigger point work and the more therapeutic approach to massage therapy, along with using her intuition to guide her. Melissa’s goal is to work with each client to determine their individual needs unique through open communication, and building a strong rapport.
When she is not working she enjoys time with her 3 children Zachary, Maxwell, and Miss Charlie. Also, working in her garden and “being” in nature with her two golden doodles Harrison and Frankie.

Soirée Massage Therapy | Elk Rapids, MI
Hi, I’m Jennifer — a lifelong student of the body, a passionate facilitator of healing, and someone who’s been elbows-deep in deep tissue since the 1900s (okay, 1999 — but still).
Massage therapy isn’t just my job — it’s my favorite kind of conversation. One where your body gets to speak, and I get to listen. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all sessions. I blend techniques like Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release, Neuromuscular Reset, Therapeutic Deep Tissue, and a whole lot of intuitive bodywork to help your body come back into comfort and ease.
I’m especially passionate about evening sessions, because there’s something magic that happens when the sun dips low and the body lets go. The work settles deeper. The mind softens. The healing lands differently.
That’s why I created Twilight Glow Massage and Soirée sessions — restorative experiences that honor your natural rhythm and help you unwind into your night.
My studio is a safe, inclusive, and cozy space for every kind of human. Communication is key — I always check in with you, because your body’s needs are the priority, and they can shift from day to day. You deserve care that adapts to you.
I also believe healing is a team sport — and your body is the MVP. I’m just here to support its wisdom. Whether we’re working on long-term tension patterns, posture challenges, emotional holding, or just the need to feel better in your skin, we’ll approach it together.
And while I’ve been doing this a long time, I still show up as a beginner every day. Staying open, curious, and humble keeps me fresh — and keeps your sessions inspired. I’m constantly researching and evolving, drawing from global bodywork traditions and current science to find what really helps your body feel better, move better, and live better.
I often recommend warm water, Epsom salt, and gentle movement as simple but powerful tools. The body knows what it needs — sometimes it just needs a little reminder.
So whether you’re carrying tension, grief, stress, curiosity, or just the weight of the week — come as you are. I’m here to meet you in it, and help your body shift through it.
Let’s glow up.
Let’s get on with the night.
